WHAT WE DO
Prevention and Diversion
We are there when a family’s homelessness is imminent, and we work to avoid the trauma of a family losing their housing.
Family Promise offers a holistic solution to family homelessness and our rotational shelter models ensure the right fit for a family
Programming after shelter helps families remain housed. These structured programs provide continued support and reduce the risk of a family’s re-entry into homelessness
WHY WE'RE NEEDED
In Wisconsin there were 13,450 children K-12th grade who experienced homelessness in 2020-2021.
There are 12,285 children aged 0-6 that are estimated to be homeless in Wisconsin.
4 out of 5 children who are experiencing homelessness have been exposed to at least 1 serious and violent event by the age of 12.
"It's a great program! It was a different experience for the kids and myself. We really appreciate the love and help you guys gave us. We are forever grateful for that help. Everyone at all the churches was so wonderful and sweet. I believe if it wasn't for y'all giving us a place to lay our heads at night with food and a way to bath...I don't know what I would've done. But I do know I probably would still be trying to find some where to live for me and my children to stay. Will I recommend this program to anyone? Yes. I would in a heart beat!"
